Our quite unique workshop titled 'Your First Kanji Experience in Tokyo' contains:
1, Writing one kanji you chose with a brush pen.
2, A hanko with your written kanji by machine carving.
3, Framed your kanji art work with a seal impression of your hanko on it.
*The total fee is 11,000 yen per person. (including tax)
*This event will take around 1 hour.

Step1: Choose the kanji you want to write


You can pick any kanji to write.
For example:
One that has your favorite meaning.
One that has a similar sound to a part of your name.
One that has your favorite shape.
Step2: Practice writing


With a brush pen, write the kanji you chose several times.
Step3: Make the final copy


After you get the hang of writing kanji, let's try making the final copy.
Step4: Stamp your hanko next to your signature


Using the kanji you wrote, will carve a hanko in 15 minutes.
Please write the sound and meaning of the kanji, your signature and today the date below your kanji work.
Then right after it is finished, let’s use your new hanko and place a stamp next to your signature as an author of the unique kanji art.
Your first kanji art work has been completed



Finally, we will frame your calligraphy and hand it over to you with your hanko.

■Closed: Saturdays
